The First New Cat Species in a Century

Ten years ago a man left a strange kitten at a wildlife rescue in Bolivia. He thought it was a house cat. The biologist who saw it, Paola Nogales-Ascarrunz, took a hundred pictures of it. If Emmett Till Lived, a Photo Show in Chicago

Emmett Till was fourteen when he was killed in Mississippi in 1955. He would have turned 85 this year. A museum in Chicago has built a show from its own collection that imagines the life he didn't get: trains, city streets, a wedding, an election night. Cartier-Bresson to Dawoud Bey.
